An Homage to New York Latinas

Noted scholars Virginia Sánchez Korrol and Vicki L. Ruiz are project directors of Latinas in History, an interactive website hosted by Brooklyn College's Department of Puerto Rican and Latino Studies. In "Mujeres Rebeldes," Professor Sánchez Korrol tells the story of a group of groundbreaking Latinas at the turn of the 20th century. Sánchez Korrol and Ruiz are also the editors of the three-volume Latinas in the United States: A Historical Encyclopedia (Indiana University Press, 2006), a 2007 selection for the New York Public Library's prestigious Best of Reference list.
