Queens Library Broadens Access to Immigrants
Beginning May 18, Queens library will accept the "matrícula consular" - a personal identification card issued to immigrants by their consulates - as a valid document to get a library card and access all its services. Applicants will also need proof of their current address, such as a utility bill. Daily News' columnist Albor Ruiz has the story.
