Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), the U.S. performing rights organization representing over 375,000 songwriters, composers and publishers in all genres of music, will host a cocktail reception in honor of Latin Grammy-winning flautist Nestor Torres. Torres, who has performed with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, James Moody, Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D'Rivera and Danilo Perez, among many others, has been named the "Ambassador of Good Will" at this year's Puerto Rican Day Parade. In 2001, he won a Latin Grammy for his CD This Side of Paradise. His latest release, Nouveu Latino, was nominated for a Grammy in the Latin Jazz category.
