This is a statistic that probably has the white conservative old guard worried sleepless, and one that should make American voters, who have reacted against the kind of secret-lodge favoritism, status quo-inaction and greedy concentration-of-wealth "capitalism" that got us into our present mess, very proud to have seen the light beyond race and party lines.
