Cuarteto Latinoamericano at Miller Theater

Tonight at 7 in Columbia University's Miller Theater, the award-winning  Cuarteto Latinoamericano will present Imaginary Folklore, a concert faturing works by Alberto Ginastera, Astor Piazzolla, Héitor Villa-Lobos, and other outstanding 20th-century Latin American composers. The concert will be preceded by a convesation with Sebastián Zubieta, music director at Americas Society, who will discuss how the art of composition throughout the last century, including Bela Bartok's visitation of Central Europes's folk music, anticipated the flood of Latin American composers.
