March 5 (7:00 pm) Spanish Book Club at McNally Jackson Books. Monthly meetings, led by Javier Molea, to discuss the work of Latin American and Spanish writers. March 7 (12:00 - 2:00 pm) Louis Reyes Rivera at Acentos Writers Workshop. The acclaimed hands-on writing series organized by Acentos Foundation welcomes celerated author Louis Reyes Rivera. March 8 (6:00 - 7:00 pm) LouderARTS Weekly Sessions. Free and open to poets of any skill level, with a writing exercise led each week by a different member of New York poetry community. March 9 (6:30 - 8:30 pm) Dahlma Llanos-Figueroa at El Barrio Book Club. Join award-winning authors Dahlma Llanos-Figueroa for a lively discussion on her powerful, lyrical debut novel, about a family of Afro-Puerto Rican women, spanning five generations, detailing their physical and spiritual journey from the Old World to the New. March 9 (7:00 pm) Tribute to Tato Laviera at Nuyorican Poets Cafe. LatinosNYC will be hosting a tribute show to raise funds for Nuyorican poet Tato Laviera. Performers include Caridad De La Luz aka La Bruja, J.F. Seary, Sabrina Gilbert, Advocate of Wordz, Daniel & more to be announced soon. The funds raised will go directly to Tato Laviera.
