May 7: HBO/NYILFF Short Film Competition Deadline. HBO and the New York International Latino Film Festival host a competition in which the winner will receive $15,000 in funding to produce and direct on digital video an original short film narrative. The final film produced from the winning screenplay will be presented on screen this summer during the 2010 New York International Latino Film Festival. For more information, click here
