Lolita Lebrón, Puerto Rican Independence Activist Who Led Shooting at U.S. Congress, Dies at 89

Lolita Lebrón, who in 1954 led three other Puerto Rican nationalists in a shooting inside of the U.S. House of Representatives--an act conceived to bring international attention to the cause of Puerto Rico's independence--died Sunday in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
