November 12 (8:00 - 10:30 pm) Capicu Poetry's Open Mic at Notice Lounge. The celebrated poetry showcase reinstate their open mic sessions featuring the work of Majestik Originality (member of El Grito de Poetas) and photo artist Albert Tainolmage Areizaga. Music by DJ Sambarella. Guest host La Sensacion Del Bloque. $7 cover. Doors open at 7:00pm. As part of its New York Public Program, Pinta presents a conversation between NY1's José Simián and Claudio Iván Remeseira, editor of Hispanic New York: A Sourcebook. November 16 - 19 (7:00 pm) Symposium on Bob Marley's Legacy at Americas SocietyReflecting on the life and work of the Jamaican musician, composer, Rastafarian, and world-culture icon. The inaugural event will take place on the 16th (7:00 pm) which will include an inaugural conversation between Chris Rockwell (founder, Island Records) and Christopher John Farley (Before the Legend); a literature discussion on the 17th (7:00 pm); and the launch of Review 81 (Bob Marley and His Legacy, 2010).  With the collaboration of the Consulate General of Jamaica in New York and InterAmericas®.
