I have carefully read Gabriel Haslip-Viera's and Juan Flores responses to Herb Klein's and my answer to Angelo Falcón's review of Hispanics in the United States. Why it is that Haslip-Viera and fellow "victimization" travelers have such a hard time recognizing that large numbers of Latinos have been perfectly capable of overcoming discrimination, prejudice, and an array of other obstacles thrown in the way of social and economic progress?
