February 2 (See schedules below) Luis Camnitzer - Opening. El Museo del Barrio presents an exhibition exploring five decades of work by Uruguayan conceptual artist and writer Luis Camnizter. Running through May 29 at El Museo del Barrio, 1230 Fifth Avenue. For more information, click here.

February 2 (6.30 pm) New Films at El Museo. El Museo del Barrio presents En el Hoyo/In the Pit (Rulfo, 2006), a documentary about the personal struggles behind the construction of Mexico’s a massive elevated freeway: Periferico Beltway. The Consulate General of Argentina in New York presents two exhibitions featuring works by Argentine artists Sergio Bazan and Claudia Perrota, respectively. Americas Society presents an installation by Arturo Herrera in which he incorporates music and image through mixed media, inspired by Stravinsky’s ballet of the same name. February 5 (11 am) Balenciaga: Spanish Master—Gallery Talk. The Queen Sofía Spanish Institute in conjunction with The Hispanic Society of America present a gallery talk about the current exhibition of pieces by the great Spanish fashion designer, Cristóbal Balenciaga, led by Daniel A.
