La Criatura Theater presents an experimental play written, performed, and choreographed by Karina Casiano, exploring the place of individuals within a society. Part of TeatroStage Fest 2011. June 10 - June 12  (8:00 pm and other schedules; see below) Growing Up Gonzáles: Love, Lies, and My First Hooker. Written, produced, and directed by Félix Rojas, this one-man show stars Herbie Quiñones as Cisco Gonzáles, a forty-something Puerto Rican with a seriously confused identity. June 12 (7:00 pm) My Audition with Almodóvar. An irrevent play by Alberto Ferreras. Starring A.C.E. Award for Best Actress-winner Inma Heredia. Tickets are $25. June 14 (9:30 am - 5:00 pm) Beyond the New World Theater Legacy. A symposium where artists, scholars, and cultural organizers will discuss the artistic and social effects of changing 21st-century politics.
