One is German, another a New Yorker of Egyptian descent, others are Cuban-American, Colombian, Dominican and Argentine. All nine members of the Flor de Toloache are women, the pioneers of what they believe is the the city’s first all-female mariachi ensemble. Read more at the New York Times.
