A day before the 2013 Mayoral race primaries, three Upper-Manhattan districts —Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood— witnessed a last-ditch push by leading Democratic hopefuls Bill de Blasio, Bill Thompson and Christine C. Quinn to win over the crucial minority vote. Thompson and de Blasio (who is leading in the polls) are disputing the black vote in Harlem, while Quinn appears to be stronger in the Latino enclaves of Washington Heights and Inwood.
