As we celebrate Veterans Day, it is worth remembering that there is one
unique group of American soldiers who have served with honor and valor –
and who are still largely unknown to most Americans. These are the men
of the 65th Infantry Regiment, also known as “The Borinqueneers”, the only
Hispanic-segregated unit in Army history.
